This wedding was so much fun to capture! Maggie and Timo scheduled so much time for photos, so we were able to capture a lot of really gorgeous photos of the two of them! My favorite photos from the day were when we hiked about three hundred yards away from their wedding so we could do some sunset photos in the only place where we could still see any sunshine. Brooke and Mike had a gorgeous wedding! They met at Butler University and after hitting it off as friends they transitioned to dating and fell in love. Fast forward a few years and they decided to get married and I’m so happy they chose me to capture their Broad Ripple wedding! Over the course of the next year I’m shooting a lot more for my other brand, Jennifer Van Elk Photography, that I co-own and run with my wife. Deep in the library amongst the rows of books, Allison and Daniel sat on the floor. Staring at each other with a deep sense of satisfaction and love. We were so lucky to be able to capture this moment with the two of them, when they took a break from the wedding and reception to relax for a moment. We’re so happy we were able to capture Allison and Daniel’s lovely Indianapolis Public Library wedding.
It was hot outside in the middle of July on Rebecca and Jake’s wedding day. Shooting with a wedding dress and tux wasn’t the most fun thing, so we sought out the shade of the MInton-Capehart Federal Building in in downtown Indianapolis. The Minton-Capehart Federal Building has a beautiful mural painted on the bottom level. So, standing in front of the pink part of Milton Glaser’s mural, Rebecca and Jake hugged and danced and posed for pictures. After we were done shooting their portraits downtown, we heeded to their reception at the Marrot. Rebecca and Jake had a fantastic Marott wedding, and we’re so happy they chose us to capture the event!
